Vladislav Kovalsky, concert pianist and current director of the Monmouth Conservatory in Red Bank, NJ, was born in Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East.
He graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) where he studied with Nathan Perelman, one of the legendary pianists and pedagogues admired for their musicality and refined pianism. Kovalsky, a pianist with prodigious musicality, impeccable technique, profundity and higher ideals, is the winner of numerous international awards.
His concert career includes multiple tours in Russia, the United States, Canada, Japan, Korea and Europe. Highlights include performances at Carnegie Hall with the violinist Mark Lubotsky. It has been awarded by Steinway pianos for its vast pianistic activity, as well as its publications, educational activities, including the prestigious festival at Mannes College in New York City.
